Positive: Excellent location, very well-placed for enjoying Lamphun's Loy Krathong celebration. The owner was quite easy to contact, friendly & polite. Our children enjoyed the space of the house and some toys/games which had been left downstairs.
Negative: The property seems to be a now disused Cafe and it really did not feel very accommodating as a place to comfortably relax. The bathroom was outside the main property and had been adapted from the Cafe toilet (there is still a urinal in it). The upstairs did not seem finished at all, bare boards beneath thin carpets. A bedroom with a floor bed had been put in in the middle of the upper floor and was the only room with functioning AC. (Downstairs living area has ceiling fans.) There is a small terrace which had a lovely view at night of the top of the chedi at Wat Haripunchai but we did not really want to sit there as there was quite a lot of pigeon mess. There is a kitchen area downstairs in the middle of the living space which must once have been where cafe food & drinks were prepared but everything was locked/empty and not available for us to use. There is another fridge outside. The property has a lot of potential to be a great place to stay but it really needs refurbishing into comfortable and user-friendly accommodation. At the moment it feels too much like it has been hastily (and not very well) patched together. For that reason I also felt the price was too expensive for what it is, although that may have been because we were there over Loy Krathong weekend.
