Muses Beach Villas are situated right on the edge of the sandy Kouremenos beach. Thalia is a beautifully decorated 1 bedroom, well equipped villa with sea views. There is a generous sized private pool (8m by 4m) and plenty of outside space including a shaded terrace and bbq area. The beach is rarely crowded so is perfect for rest and relaxation. There is a taverna only a 3 minute walk away (it also offers a delivery service at no extra charge) and the tavernas on Chionis Beach are only 10 minutes walk. the town of Palekastro with it's shops and tavernas is only an 8 minute drive and those who want to explore can access the town of Sitia which is 20 minutes drive. Overall this is a perfect place to explore Eastern Crete including the once famous palm tree fringed Vai Beach. No infants allowed at this property

Gate Entrance Code: 2007# (Applies to front and rear pedestrian gate) Keys: You will normally be met in the car park by your local Simpson Travel Representative. If not, walk in Muses from the pedestrian door on the left using code 2007#. The key to your villa will be in the key safe located to the left of the covered parking area next to ‘The Well’. Code number: 1232. After you have entered the code, press the black button on the left downwards to open the Key Safe. Press button A on the remote control of your key set to open the main gate, and then drive through. The gate also closes by pressing button A. On your key set there is a small metal key. This key needs to be inserted in the socket next to your villa door as you walk in, so the power in your villa can turn on. DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM HERAKLION AIRPORT - approximately 2hrs 45m Step 1 After you have collected your car at Heraklion Airport, make your way from the Departure area to the traffic lights (at this crossroads the Terminal buildings should be behind you, or on your left). Follow this road and head under the bridge following signs for “Agios Nikolaos”. The road bends sharply round to the left and you join the main National Highway. Follow signs direction “Agios Nikolaos or “Ierapetra”. NB. You may meet some road works - just continue following the same signs as previously mentioned. As long as you follow the signs for “Agios Nikolaos” you will be fine. Continue along the highway to Agios Nikolaos. Step 2 Continue on this road for some time (50 mins?). You will eventually pass a Shell/Peugeot/Toyota garage on your right and a bit further on, two further petrol stations one on each side of the road. You will reach a set of traffic lights, which are on the outskirts of Agios Nikolaos. Turn right at these traffic lights following the signs for Ierapetra and Sitia. Step 3 Follow this road for approximately 12kms and you will enter Istro(n) Village which has a BP petrol station on the right, and a number of cafes, shops and ATM. Exit Istro and follow the road signage for Sitia (Siteia). From Istron to Sitia is approximately 55kms and around one hour’s drive. Follow the signs to Sitia. Step 4 Upon entering Sitia you will pass two supermarkets and come to a roundabout. TURN RIGHT onto the major road heading for Ierapetra. After 150m turn LEFT at the traffic lights. (You will pass “KΡΗΤΙΚΟΣ” (pronounced as Kritikos) supermarket on the left, you can park opposite in a large car park if you wish to stop and do some shopping). After 400m, and just before the end of the road TURN LEFT in front of Sitia Beach Hotel. Go 100m to the beach and turn RIGHT. (After 2kms, IGNORE the Simpson Travel sign which is for Villa Isidora) Keep on this road for 17km heading straight for Palekastro. Step 5 Upon entering the village you will make your way to the village square with a church on your right and taverna ITANOS directly in front of you creating a fork in the road. TAKE THE RIGHT FORK to the side of taverna Itanos. With the taverna on your left go 90m and carry STRAIGHT ON, signposted Agathias - Do not turn left or right. After a further 600m, and just before the village of Agathias, turn LEFT, signposted towards Palaikastrou Archaeological Site. Stay on this road for 1.15kms and you will reach a “Y” junction. Bear left, (Simpson Travel sign, Archaeological site is to the right) and after just 40m turn LEFT signposted Kouremenos (Top Tip … if you go straight on you will arrive at the Chiona Taverna featured on our web site). Step 6 Please drive carefully on this dirt track. After 450m, turn RIGHT, (Simpson Travel Sign). After 100m turn RIGHT. Muses Beach Villas are 70m on the left.
