The hut offers space for 7-9 people (1 travel crib for babies is also available) divided into 2 bedrooms: 1 double room and 1 five-bed room. The living room is particularly cozy with a stone bar, a wood-burning stove and a comfortable sofa bed that can be pulled out.
In addition, electric heating provides effortless warmth throughout the cabin.
The fully equipped kitchen offers space for a seating area. The bathroom has a shower, 2 washbasins and a toilet. We also have enough wood in front of the hut to keep you warm in winter - after all, Lungau is one of the harsher and colder regions in Austria.

Our holidaymakers really appreciate not being able to spend their vacation in a "HÜTTENDORF". We are located on the edge of the largest nature reserve in the Alps - the HOHE TAUERN National Park in the Lungau-Nockberge Biosphere Park. Surrounded by the Niedere and Radstädter Tauern, the Murtalhütte is situated at 1,120m above sea level (easily accessible by car in winter) in a unique and unmistakable mountain landscape. You can expect fantastic alpine pastures, mountains with glaciers, crystal-clear mountain water, 60 deep blue mountain lakes, breathtaking waterfalls, combined with a flora and fauna that you won't find anywhere else in this variety.
The prices are per unit per night for 7 people excluding the overnight stay tax per person. If there are 8 to 9 people, an additional surcharge applies.
