Summary: The goal with Casa Fortuna Tulum is to provide an escape from the busy and noisy beat of the city life. To reconnect with nature and experience the true beauty and tranquility of Tulum while still being able to enjoy modern amenities such as AC, wifi and a private pool. Casa Fortuna is secluded but you still will be able to have access to many activities with just a few minutes drive, such as cenotes, ruins, restaurants, beach clubs, theme parks and so much more! The Space: Casa Fortuna is a modern house 19 km from Tulum town, snuggled in the jungle surrounded by nature on all sides. The road to Casa Fortuna is a gated/private rustic dirt road shared with just a handful of neighbors, (none of which are viewable from inside the property). The house is completely private and completely fenced in. Due to our many glass doors and glass walls, a night at Casa Fortuna is similar to camping outdoors, except you are safe and secure inside, with amenities such as air conditioning, WiFi and a 65 inch Samsung Smart TV. We have four spacious bedrooms, each with its own air conditioner, fully equipped bathroom and private balcony. The rooftop terrace is a great spot for sunbathing and star gazing. Our fresh water infinity pool (18ft x 6ft x 5ft) is great for cooling off during the day or to relax in and enjoy the sounds of the jungle at night. We also have a 33 foot tall Mayan-made observation tower that rises above the jungle canopy, providing 360 degree views of untouched jungle. This house is VERY Unique. There is Nothing like this in Tulum!!! Wake up every morning to the sound of Toucans and many other local species of birds. You will have a true Tulum Jungle experience while staying at Casa Fortuna. Guest Access: Guests have access to full property except for one storage room. The Neighborhood: Tulum is a small touristy town and we are located 15 mins down the Tulum-Coba highway. You will pass many popular Cenotes in route to the house. Gran Cenote, Zacil-Ha and Cenote Car Wash to name a few. The same road is used to get to the ruins of Coba (about 25 mins from the house) and Chichen Itza. We are 5 mins away from the Mayan Village of Macario Gomez. Macario Gomez has souvenir shops, small taquerias and fresh fruit stands. It also has small stores such as the SIX for snacks and refreshments. We are about 10 minutes from the town of San francisco Hu May where Azulik has recently built their new free Art Gallery. From Casa Fortuna, you can visit Cenotes, Lagoons, Mayan Ruins and the worlds most beautiful beaches all within a 30 min drive! Getting Around: A Car Is Necessary! We recommend renting a car to make things easier when moving around between the house and all the beautiful places you will visit. You will find it is the easiest and most convenient way to make the most out of your stay in the Yucatan. We recommend using Mex Rent a car or America car rental because the rates they give you are accurate with no hidden fees when you get to the counter. Other Things to Note: Casa Fortuna is for nature lovers and for those who want to experience Tulum/Mexico outside of the crowds of the town, yet still close to the action at just 15 mins drive. Surprisingly, there are not many mosquitoes here in the jungle, much less than in town, but do expect to encounter a few bugs. You Are in the Jungle! A rental car is necessary and is the best way to maximize time during your stay.
