Positive: The fantastic location, close to loads of places, Peebles or Edinburgh but far away enough for peace and quiet. I liked the private parking and the big garden where we enjoyed watching the swifts and the stunning views of the hills. Although you have neighbours, it was very peaceful. It was one of the cleanest cottages I've ever stayed in, and Elizabeth provided vegan milk and snacks, which was very much appreciated. I'd love to come back and explore the area a little more.
Negative: The heating thermostat was locked behind a box, so you're not in control, but Elizabeth did explain why.
