Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: “The house has potential but needs better maintenance.” We stayed in the master bedroom with a spacious bathroom for one night. It’s a self-check-in setup. You get a password for a lockbox to grab the key, so there’s no staff on site. It’s a shared house with separate bedrooms, but thankfully we had our own bathroom, so we didn’t have to share much.

Negative: The house wasn’t as clean as I’d like. We noticed dust and spider webs, and it had that old, “vintage” smell that didn’t quite match the pictures online. The biggest issue for us was the AC. It was broken and, according to other guests, has been that way for a while with no sign of repair. Since the bedroom is on the second floor, it was very hot and humid, even at night. There was a fan in the room, but it didn’t do much. Opening the windows wasn’t an option because there are no mosquito screens, and there were a ton of bugs outside. Parking is outside on a first-come, first-served basis. We were lucky to get a spot. The hot tub was working, which was a nice bonus (we even used cold water to cool down before bed). The bed itself was big but extremely hard and only came with two pillows, which weren’t comfortable.
