Very beautiful villa for 16 people, in a great location since it is within easy reach to many great trips. The holiday home has a 2000m2 large garden and many activities.
The beautiful yellow house Masia Gaudí is, according to the very friendly owners, named after the famous architect Gaudi, who lived in teh area and whose masterpieces can be enjoyed in the Catalonian capital of Barcelona and elsewhere in the region of Catalonia. The house is located 3 km. from the village of Les Borges del Camp, with good shopping possibilities. The house is surrounded by the river Maspujols, which years ago, was driving a flour mill which was closed when the house was restored.
When you arrive at the villa there is a large parking area, which has been planted with beautiful olive trees. Behind the parking lot is a 15x30 meter football pitch beautifully surrounded by an olive grove. The garden is divided into several beautiful 'Spaces'. One has a small playground with a sandbox and slide which is surrounded by fig, pear and cherry trees. Another area is the pool area in front of the house. The pool is kidney shaped and is surrounded by a large 250m2 lawn. Beside this area is a small space with table tennis also with cherry trees.
At the back of the garden is a large grove of fruit trees. Here we had the pleasure of picking oranges and pomegranates when we visited the house in the spring. The garden has also wine and hazelnuts. The entire garden is characterized by the owners´ love of flowers and trees, making the garden a very special experience. The house is privately situated, surrounded by trees and bushes all around. The road between Priorat vineyard and the beautiful regional capital Reus runs on the other side of the bushes, so the road could be heard from the front yard.
This beautiful house consists of 450m2 house and can accommodate 16 guests. The lower floor has a small chapel dedicated to saint San Antonio. Here is also a beautiful room equipped with billiards. The owners have preserved the beautiful wooden basin to prepare the wine, which is now one of the enjoyable features of the house. On this floor is also one of the 3 bathrooms in the house and a room with washing machine and ironing facilities.
On the house's second floor is the ancient dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. On the first floor you find 6 of the 7 bedrooms in the Masia Gaudi. The owners have preserved the master bedroom 'dormie els Senyor de la casa' (masterbedroom). This 40m2 bedroom consists of two bedroom units, both with double beds. This masterbedroom also has two balconies overlooking the garden. The 7 bedrooms contain alltogether 3 double beds and 10 single beds. On the third and top floor is a 40m2 triple room.
Masia Gaudí's is perfect for a group with children due to the many good activities and the large enclosed garden. The location is also perfect. There is 3 km. to the nearest village, the regional capital Reus is located 7 km. away and the beaches on the Costa Dorada lies 30 km. away. There is 19 km. to the city of Tarragona. Masia from Gaudi's is definitely worth visiting. Should you at the same time want to visit Barcelona the 100 km. drive is definitely a good idea!
