Positive: We found this to be an exceptional place with rooms very well presented in traditional style and with a fully equipped kitchen all in clean and good order. Great views of hills and vineyards. Lovely positioned swimming pool next to the vineyard. Spacious outside eating areas. Short driving distance to local supermarket - carrefore connect and Angoulême where there are train connections, cafes, restaurants etc. The sous-terrain chapel in Aubeterre sur Dronne is magnificent. as are some of the châteaus in the region. The proprieter Pascal Mappa was very friendly and approachable. Overall, it was a great holiday in the Charente region for us.
