The kitchen comes equipped with fridge / freezer, washing machine, dish-washer, oven and gas hob, micro-wave, filter coffee-maker and ironing facilities, with all crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils new this year. Two bathrooms, one en-suite with jacuzzi bath, shower and bidet; the other with large walk-in shower and bidet. The apartment has central heating throughout, air conditioning in the main living area, and portable fan units in both bedrooms. The condominium block has a secure electronic gating/video entry system, and beautiful landscaped gardens including a shared pool. Lagos is the perfect gateway to the unspoilt beauty of the western Algarve, and an hour's drive westward through the changing landscape of the national park takes you to some of Europe's best surfing beaches, including Praia da Bordeira.
In Lagos itself the historic Old Town with its narrow cobbled streets, lively squares, and defensive Walls is well worth repeated meanders and you will never tire of the selection of restaurants, cafes and bars available if you fancy stopping for a refreshing drink or bite to eat. About 10 minutes walk down the hill from the upto takes you to the impressive Marina where the cuisine is more international, then a pedestrian bridge across the river takes you into Lagos town and some excellent fish restaurants, then a further 5 or 10 minutes brings you to the historic centre. If you prefer not to walk there is plenty of parking along the main Avenida and a regular and cheap bus service in Lagos and its surrounds..
The modern marina and waterfront promenade offer a full range of opportunities for marine sport, sightseeing and leisure pursuits, including dolphin spotting, scuba diving, sailing, sea fishing and boat trips along the coast to view the famous sandstone cliffs and grottos. The climate is ideal for walking, cycling, tennis and golf, particularly during during the winter months. Palmares golf course in only a few kilometres down the coast from the apartment, and Boavista, Penina and Floresta only short drives away. The municipal sports centre and fitness facilities are only 10/15 minutes walk or 2/3 mins drive from the up to , as is a well-stocked and very economic Pingo Doce supermarket.
Kids will enjoy the sandy beaches, and a number of exciting Water Parks and a Sea World Park are in easy reach. There is also a Zoo on the outskirts of the town.
