Welcome to Woodcutters Lodge, which is located on the edge of some of the most beautiful parts of the New Forest National Park and just minutes from the Solent, with it’s awarding winning beaches, world class sailing, stunning scenery and outstanding restaurants. A Luxury timber framed lodge tucked away in the heart of the New Forest National Park. Perfectly located for cyclists, walkers, or families who want to explore the stunning scenery, endless forest walks or award winning local beaches. The lodge is situated in the grounds of a 300 year old thatched cottage and guests can benefit from private parking a dedicated lodge entrance, power showers, cotton sheets, peace and tranquillity. Accommodation The lodge has 2 bedrooms (double & twin) with 2 tiled en-suite bathrooms, both with power showers, varnished wooden floors, and an open plan lounge (with double sofa bed), dining, living area. Space The lodge is located within the New Forest National Park and is ideally located for walkers, cyclists and families. A separate bike storage area is available free of charge, and freshly laid eggs from the cottage chickens provide the perfect start to a day exploring the endless Forest tracks. A full bespoke guide of places to visit, routes and forest paths and tracks, can also be provided by the owners for walkers, cyclists and families tailored to each groups interests. Guest access All guests have 2 parking spaces, with separate access to the lodge. The cottage gardens are private and guests have no access to this area. Guest interaction The owners of the lodge are available to offer advice and recommendations on places to enjoy, eat and visit to suit a wide range of requirements and can also assist to arrange sailing and cycling access at preferential rates. Neighbourhood overview Woodcutters Lodge is on the edge of the tranquil New Forest village of Sway, and is a short and very pleasant walk from the open forest. Situated on a quiet country lane the lodge looks out over beautiful paddocks and horses on one side and backs onto the owners private gardens on the other. Getting around A local bus service is within walking distance, and the main line railway station provides a regular service to London Waterloo in 90 minutes. Other things to note The gardens are a private area and unavailable to guests. There is no outside space with the lodge however the open forest is only a short stroll away. Bike hire can be arranged through our partners with bikes delivered/collected from the lodge (Please message for details)
