Fabulous holiday villa, embraced by a well-kept park of about 20,000 square meters, embellished by the large pool and designed with heart and intelligence by the friendly and experienced owners. The elegant residence, rises from the restructuring of a nineteenth-century villa, built in the area "cold lands", in the town of Galatina (about 15 minutes drive from the sea and close to many typical attractions of Salento). Numerous and comfortable interiors, exceptional furnishings and layout: 5 bright bedrooms, 6 excellent bathrooms, 3 charming living rooms, large kitchen with central island. Let's see the composition in detail. A characteristic dry stone wall joins the Lecce stone of the main entrance, where an automatic gate in wrought iron is supported by two imposing columns. The long driveway, bordered by trees and ornamental plants (lantana, cicas, dwarf palms, etc.), accompanies you to the monumental building on two spacious floors. The valuable property has 7 doors and windows to access the different rooms on the ground floor. From the entrances in front, depending on the point of view, you are able to see the rear doors, thus the garden and pool. Both lead through the bright and elegant furnished rooms. The central access leads to a room with a bookcase in the middle of the two spaces described above. This room, with non doors, is in the middle of the house and separates both parts giving a pleasant feeling of freedom with open spaces to live and to appreciate. The entire ground floor is well-designed and gives you enough space to enjoy the classic and historical house. The second living room is on the left hand side of the dining area and kitchen. We note a big lounge with a stone fireplace, TV and a colorful Persian rug. Another open space with vaulted ceiling is fitted with a pool table. This pool table can be transformed into a big dining table with space for up to 22 guests. The dining area between kitchen and the second living room is placed in front of the big glass door which gives you not only access to the terrace and the pool area, but also gives you and enchanting view on the rear garden. The big and well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, an espresso machine, a fridge with freezer and a comfortable central island with seats, a sink and various storage units gives you the opportunity to cook and bake for all your gustiest or family. From the billiard you can pass through the entrance hall with the bookcase to access leads the bright and antique furnished living room. This room is decorated with beautiful furnishings, paintings and a crystal table set on a lively Persian artifact. Also, on the ground floor there is a double bedroom, with an independent exit to the garden with a bathroom with a shower and toilet en suite. Still, on the ground floor we have a second large bathroom with artistic stone sink and toilet. To the left of the pool table a staircase leads up to the first floor. Once up the stairs we have on the left side the laundry room (with washing machine, sink, iron and ironing board). Thorough the next door on the left you enter the master bedroom with a large bathroom with shower and toilet en suite. Leaving this first bedroom we enter a nice living room with sofas and 60" Television which separates all 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and a marble bathroom with bath and toilet en suite. Each bedroom has a doubled and its own full bathroom and is equipped with the latest generation TV. The elegant villa also amazes for its aesthetic sense and practicality in the organization of outdoor spaces. Coming out on the back of the villa a wonderful infinity pool, bordered by precious trani stone, allows a comfortable bathing in the lower part (1 mt deep) or refreshing dives in the deeper section (about 2mt). Alongside various areas for pleasant moments of relaxation we have a circular jasmine magpie, with table and chairs which is a delight to the eyes during the flowering period. On the other side there is a spacious and particular Veranda bordered by solid columns equipped with a dining table, chairs and even a sink. The sunbathing areas with umbrellas and deck chairs where you can enjoy a drink or get a tan in the warm Apulian sun are all around the pool. There is a small bathroom and two outdoor showers near the pool. Last but not the least there is the feature that makes the estate even more unique than it already is: is the presence of an inestimable archaeological treasure; the church of "Santa Maria della Porta". This Church was built in ancient times. Traditional stories recount that the holy Saint Peter passed from here on his journey to the place of his martyrdom.
