Positive: Very kind and helpful owners. Property has some beautiful reminders of its history. It’s a great size so everyone has space, the pool is a wonderful size. The kitchen is a great place to cook meals and the bbq is very handy. Beds were comfy, plenty of towels etc. Barn / garage was handy for parking a motorcycle when family came to visit, we also stored our cars top-box in there. You genuinely can’t understand the layout of the house until you arrive, it’s very bizarre but quirky and it really works. Very quiet immediate local area, perfect for those seeking peace & tranquility. So much wildlife at the property, great if you have children or adults who like to observe nature.
Negative: The property has an issue with its septic tank causing quite a strong odour. However, the best way to combat the smell was to leave the barn doors open to allow plenty of ventilation. The owners were made aware of the problem and immediately tried to rectify it. The mezzanine level bedroom and 1st floor bedroom (nearest to the shower room) both have windows that don’t have anything blocking out daylight, meaning that when the sun comes up, your sleep space is filled with light. Eye masks are a good idea if you’re light sensitive when sleeping.
