Positive: Spacious and comfortable property. It had almost everything we needed. Good neighbourhood, felt safe, easy to access. Generally clean (once it had been cleaned, when we arrived it hadn't been cleaned from the previous occupants) Responsive host who did put right the cleaning issue and pool temperature issues when we contacted them. Pool was lovely, although initially cold despite paying extra for it to be heated. We would stay again despite the issues we experienced. If those were put right it would be exceptional.
Negative: When we arrived the property hadn't been cleaned since the previous occupants. Because it was evening time the cleaners couldn't come until the next day. The owner gave us access to the clean linen and cleaning supplies but we had to spend our first evening changing beds and cleaning which wasn't ideal. To be fair the owner was very apologetic and refunded us a nights stay as well as the cleaning fee, which was decent of them. The property could do with a deep clean. Once cleaned, the main areas were good, but there were places that had clearly not been cleaned in a long time (the stair handrail, the bathroom lights, the air grille of the air conditioning). This wasn't a massive issue but I think the owner needs to speak to the cleaning company about doing these areas every now and again. It took a good few days for the pool heat to be sorted. Again the owner was apologetic and mentioned something about a repair being needed. Pool heat does seem to be a theme of the reviews we read so I think something needs to change here. The window coverings could do with some attention. Many of the blinds were broken and some curtains were barely big enough to cover the window. The games room (which was the garage) was a wash out. The owner had messaged in advance to say that previous guests had taken things and so things may be incomplete, but we couldn't find a single game which had all pieces required. The darts for the dart board were missing, the white ball for the pool table was missing etc. This didn't detract too much from our stay but I suggest the owner reconsiders advertising a games room when they are aware it is lacking games!
