Positive: The apartment is on the hillside in Nicotera. We were greeted by our host who had arranged a buffet of food and drinks for us. The apartment was specious and light. It was wonderful to sit on the big terrace in the evenings. There was also a washing machine. The view was breathtaking, high above we could see the sea and the beaches below. The train station was down the hill. We took the train to beautiful Scilla. If you are there don't miss Coffee Creame. Every other day we were brought fruit and sweets before our door by the host. The walk to the beach and back was a an adventurous one. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was worth driving 2200 km!
Negative: The streets of Nicotera are narrow. Bigger cars do not fit well. Some narrow streets are even both ways. Those not used to walking should use a small car to drive to the beach. There is no garage but there is enough spaces to park a small car. We were amazed that the proces did not differ much from the prices in Belgium.
