Positive: This house has an excellent location. The nice palazzi of the Brentano family close by, the stunning views of the lake right from the main window or from the small places closeby as well as the walking distances (if it is not too hot) to Tremezzo and the Villa Carlotta, to Lenno and the Villa del Balbianello, to the ferry terminals in Lenno and Tremezzo, to shops and bus stops nearby made it an ideal location for us. And yet, not at all overcrowded around the house and with a local Italian feeling. The house is spacious and allows for a very comfortable stay for 5 or 6 people. Irina was a very friendly host and attentive. We got fresh bed linen, when we needed it. It is very easy to park the car in front of the house. And the restaurant Ali di Alice (very close) is a clear recommendation, as are the smaller local shops close to the lake (we preferred them to supermarkets).
Negative: Hooks or rails in the (older) bathroom for hanging towels unfortunately do not exist. And a few smaller bowls (e.g., for cereals, fruits, and dessert) would be nice to have, as well as some more tableware to not have to wash it after each meal. The children would have enjoyed some non-Italian TV programs... Finally, the garden could perhaps be enhanced with some flowers, but these are all nice-to-haves that did not diminish the quality of our stay.
