Positive: The bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed and nice modern bathroom. The breakfast was great, with some nice local produce and variety. Johana is lovely - very friendly and helpful. The location is quiet and a good base for exploring Coimbra, Aveiro and the coast. I did some hiking (inland in the hills and along the coast) and bird watching - it's a beautiful area with great food.
Negative: There are no restaurants in easy walking distance, but there are some very nice ones within a short drive (in Montemor-o-Velho, Maiorca and Figueira da Foz).
Summary: I had a great holiday. LArche de Jo is a perfect base for exploring a beautiful part of Portugal
