Positive: The location was perfect for all of our activities in the area, including exploring the Westman Islands, hiking Porsmork, visiting and hiking around several famous waterfalls. The property was very comfortable and clean and definitely exceeded all my expectations. The pictures on the website are exactly what the property looks like. Jon and Edda were very quick to respond to any of my questions from the day we booked the property to the day we left.
Negative: The area is pretty sparely populated, making it difficult to quickly get food. There are a few places but still a 10-20 minute drive and the hours are not always convenient for a busy traveler. I would have liked a morning delivery or basket of simple breakfast items, yogurts, fruits, breads or the refrigerator stocked with some items to just hold us over until we could get someplace. You need to prepare and bring food with you in advance or hunt for a place to eat, which currently, there are not a lot of choices. The places that are in the area are very good. The road to the property is a bit rough, doable but a bit bumpy.
