Javelina Hacienda - Relax and Enjoy - Just Say Ahhhhhh ! | Condo in Tucson

2 Bedroom Condo in Casas Adobes, Tucson
Take a break and relax for a few days or more with wonderful scenery from inside and out. Take scenic hikes, bird watch, ride bikes from your front door or play golf on two of the most well-manicured courses in Tucson, all while practicing social distancing.
Our licensed, professional cleaning service is adhering to CDC guidelines for Covid concerns. I am happy to send you a personal letter from the owner of Distinctive Cleaning and Maintenance Services, including information regarding their approach to every cleaning.
Open the blinds and let the outside into the main living areas and also the master bedroom. The views down the fairway extend all the way to the Tucson Mountains and are equally impressive from the interior as they are from the patio. Our goal is to provide most everything you'll need for a stress free stay. Please scroll thru the reviews. You'll get a great idea of what it's like to book "The Javelina" or our new property, “The Gecko”.
Step out thru our recently installed patio gate and take twenty steps to the heated pool and hot tub. While you’ll be closer to pool access than any other property, it is a very quiet area and does not interfere with the relaxing views or time on the patio.
If you've never experienced the Sonoran Desert and you appreciate the diversity of the outdoors, you will find this to be a magical place. With just under twelve inches of yearly rainfall, the Sonoran is among the wettest of all southwestern deserts. Water is its life blood and the timing is critical for desert flora and fauna. The long hot summers here are broken up with the customary July and August monsoons, while the welcomed Winter and Spring rains are typically spaced between weeks of sunshine. As they say, "if you don't like the weather, just wait a few hours"!
Whether you're wanting to explore all our desert has to offer, escape the chill of Winter where you live, or even have a home base for investigating retirement areas, our location, climate and diversity of activities will surely be enjoyed.
Golfers, bikers, walkers, runners, hikers, tennis players, explorers, birders and even the relaxers will find what they need. If you'd like symphony, opera, art, history, culture or shopping, Tucson has that for you, also. Making Omni Tucson National your home base, you'll have great flexibility for travel time and the activity you'd like to pursue. From five to fifteen to thirty and sixty minutes travel time, you can experience the entirety of Tucson and our Sonoran Desert.
If you'd like to park the car in the garage and throw away the keys, you'll still have plenty to do. It's a 10 minute stroll to all the facilities of Omni Tucson National Resort and Spa, where short term memberships are available. Or, you can enjoy our quiet and sunny community pool and hot tub, walk on the paths along the Canada del Oro, pay as you go for golf and just enjoy the sounds of the desert from our patio. Hummingbirds chatter all day and the Morning Dove flutter and coo at sundown in one of the largest mesquite trees you'll ever sit beneath.
In December of 2015, we thoroughly updated our 1992 built property. We added authentic Saltillo tile flooring to everywhere except the carpeted bedrooms. We refurnished the kitchen with all new appliances, new cookware, utensils, dishes and all the essentials and gadgets we want in a kitchen. New lighting fixtures and ceiling fans, new faucets and shower heads, and even all new door hardware were done in a brushed nickel finish. There are two new Samsung HD Smart TVs, with DirectTv as the provider and their Genie system for recording and playback. We even put a dimmer switch on the dining area LED lights, allowing you to set the mood or brighten things up.
Speaking of mood, the gas log fireplace will go nicely with cooler times of the day. The sunsets will amaze you from the patio and the living area. Prepare your favorite steaks or seafood on the four burner, stainless steel Jenn Air barbecue. Cooks can also take advantage of the wide selection of herbs and spices, some of which are replaced yearly from our personal garden harvest.
Oh, and did I mention the golf ? You,ll be staying on the Sonoran Course, a Tom Lehman designed, desert style tract. Non members can pay and play it on the odd dates of the month. Or, tee it up on the more traditional Tucson National Course, currently home to a Champions Tour event in late February. You also are within twenty minutes of numerous other golf courses, each with its own distinct views and challenges. We both love to golf and truly enjoy the surroundings as much as the game. We are happy to give you our feedback on the courses, at least from a 14 handicap perspective !
The Tucson metro area is surrounded by five distinctly different mountain ranges, commonly know as Sky Islands. As they rise up from the valley floor, elevation changes bring on a variety of diverse ecosystems. You can hike from the cactus to the pine trees in just a couple miles, be amazed as you stand among giant Saguaros, hike or take the tram to waterfalls and even some swimming holes, or play in the snow at the top of Mount Lemon in Winter.
With todays information technology and our supplied WiFi, you can find just about anything you need for the activities you'd like to experience. In many cases, time of day is important for the best experience of what you plan and where you go. We are happy to give you our experienced opinion and a great example is visiting the world famous Sonoran Desert Museum.
If you go mid day, most of the animals are at rest. The best time I have found is when they first open in the gates in the morning. It is usually right around feeding time and when animals are let out of their pens after natural enclosures have been cleaned. Seeing Desert Bighorns laying in the rocks is nothing like watching them scamper around and frolic on the man made cliffs. Late afternoons can also be good, as animals began to stir with the approaching night.
