Fully remodeled hotel type room with one king bed, one queen sofa sleeper plus a full kitchen with free Wi-Fi, NO resort fees and spectacular ocean/harbor views.
Located on the edge of Waikiki near Ala Moana Beach Park and Ala Moana shopping center you are a short walk from an uncrowded beach or a bustling shopping mall with brand name and high end stores as well as a supermarket with groceries and prepared food, along with take and cook food to prepare in your own full kitchen.
A short ride share or 20-30 minute leisurely walk and you will be in the heart of Waikiki without the hassle and expense of parking a rental car.
On your lanai you will enjoy quiet mornings with a view of the harbor, spectacular sunsets and lively entertainment Friday and Sunday evenings from the common area below.
No smoking of any kind is allowed on the property except in the designated smoking area on the grand lanai. Anyone who is found smoking elsewhere on the property, including your room and lanai, is subject to an immediate fine of $250 per person, per incident.
There is one restaurant on site serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner - Pesca, with several others off property only a short walk from the front lobby. Also available in the lobby area is a shop offering local style food takeout, a coffee shop, ice cream shop and a convenience store.
The Ilikai has two pools for guests. One on the grand lanai level and the other on the second level. Pool towels are provided and can not be taken out of the pool area for the beach. Beach towels are provided in your room.
Washers and dryers are available on the same floor as the unit near the elevator. Payment is by credit card only. Laundry soap is available for purchase as well.
The hotel desk, concierge and workout room are not available to Vrbo guests. The Aqua-Aston Hotel at the Ilikai will hold luggage for Ilikai Vrbo guests. The charge is $2 per item per day. The bell desk staff are available at the Ilikai entrance.

Walking or using a ride-sharing service (Uber or Lyft) is the best way to get around, but if you have a vehicle parking at the hotel is valet only. Rates are set by the parking service at $45 per day with in and out privileges. Public surface parking for a fee of $1 per hour is also available for the marina behind the hotel. The Ilikai Marina parking garage, located on Hobron Lane between the Chart House and Red Lobster, has hourly and daily self-parking rates.
Another option is taking “The Bus” which is $3 for a single fare that Includes 2.5 hours of unlimited transfers. There is a per day cap of $7.50 after which no additional payments for the day are required. You may obtain a HOLO card at a HOLO retail location https://www.holocard.net/where-to-obtain-load-a-card/ for $2 and go to www.holocard.net to make a purchase or load value online. HOLO Card reload is also available at 808-768-4656. Google maps is great for identifying bus schedules.
Alternatively, you may want to rent a car for the day to explore areas outside of Waikiki and downtown Honolulu. There is a Hertz office located in the lobby of the Ilikai, 808-475-8891. There is also an Enterprise office across the street from the Ilikai at Discovery Bay (1778 Ala Moana Blvd, Ste 202, 808-979-2600).
