Positive: It was mid-March, so perhaps not quite the season, but we really enjoyed our luxurious stay in the peaceful, comfortable and well equipped boat house. Upon arrival, coming from Finland, we were greeted by the owner who took us through the full tour of the boat. After buying our groceries in the town of Zuidlaren (6-7 mins by car), we started our long weekend. Outside the temperatures went to zero, but inside things were cosy and warm due to electric heating combined with a Pellet burner (not needed, but still very nice). The kitchen was well equipped, as were the toilet and shower area. A very nice touch is that the window blinds can open from the top and from the bottom, so you can always find a good compromise between the perfect view and privacy. And talking about the views. Wow! Waking-up by a rising sun over the water with some ducks slowly passing you by, is just amazing. I believe, we were the first guests who had the privilege to stay in the wonderful boathouse and for us the extra boat was not available yet, but we hope to be able to return to this wonderful place in the middle of the nature to try that also!
