Come enjoy some peace and tranquility.Our lakefront, rustic Sunset chalet is a studio-like space with one big open room and a private bathroom. It features an open-concept living space with a king-sized and queen-sized bed. Downstairs in the chalet is a game room for you and your family to enjoy. There is a small fireplace, a table with 4 chairs, a small couch, and two lounge chairs as well as a foosball table, ping pong table, and arcade game. Family games as well as an Xbox can also be found downstairs for your family's enjoyment! During your stay, all extra linens are included. The bathroom has a vanity, toilet, tiled stand-up shower, and small closet. All towels, hand towels, and washcloths are provided during your stay. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash as well as a hair dryer are also included. The studio comes equipped with a gas stove top, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, dinette table with 4 chairs, fireplace, and AC unit. Dishes, coffee mugs, silverware, and glassware are also provided. Step outside on your deck to enjoy the lake views, cook on the grill, or enjoy a book on the provided deck chairs. The stream doesn't ice up completely but the lake does and makes for a wonderful day trip just a jump, hop, and skip away! Messalonskee Lake covers 3,510 acres with a depth of 113 feet. Best known for largemouth bass, northern pike, and landlocked salmon. In the Belgrade Lakes Region, visitors enjoy the beauty of Maine, charming downtown Belgrade, award-winning dining, shopping, and fishing for landlocked salmon, Brook Trout, Northern Pike, and Large and Smallmouth Bass. Additionally, ice fishing is allowed in the ponds in the Belgrade Lakes. Each lake has special regulations. Be sure to consult the Open Water & Ice Fishing Laws & Rules for specifics. The Belgrade Lakes are located just a few miles from Interstate 95 in the Augusta/Waterville area.This Chalet is right on the edges of Belgrade Stream with direct access to Messalonskee Lake. If you plan on bringing a boat, please know there is a public boat landing in Sidney, about 20 minutes away, and docking access to the Sunset Chalet. The Marketplace shopping center is within a 15-minute drive and you will have access to many different department stores such as Walmart, Sam's Club, T J.Maxx, and a few restaurants. You are also a 10-minute drive from downtown Belgrade where you will find Day's Store which has everything from sandwiches to small grocery items as well as liquor and other beverages. You can always refer to our guidebook for a complete list of restaurants as well as other helpful information.There is a pontoon boat available for rent on-site. It is on a first come first serve basis. You can message us at any time for availability or reservations. It's available in half-day intervals at $399 per half-day plus gasoline (8-12/ 2-6). The Pontoon Boat is 22 feet in length with a passenger capacity of up to 10 persons. It is fully equipped with safety gear including Life jackets, Throw devices, Boarding ladders, a First Aid kit, and a Fire Extinguisher. We will give you a complete rundown on the operation of the boat before you leave including safety features, places to see, and places to go and not to go on the Lake. There is a $195 pet fee. Please be kind and let us know beforehand if you plan to bring your pet. Pets are always welcome as we know firsthand that they are a part of a family unit!While visiting, we do ask that pets refrain from using the bathroom in the backyard. This is a place that all guests have access to and we want to make sure that the landscape stays the best that it can be! We also ask that our guests always pick up after their pets both indoors and outdoors. This includes keeping pets off the furniture as well. Thank you so much!
