Positive: I rate the hotel itself positively – the staff were kind and helpful, and the environment was new, clean and pleasant.
Negative: The hotel does not deserve a negative review, but I have a few remarks: 1. Misleading room description on booking.com On booking.com it says that the “apartment” is equipped with: “2 single beds, 1 sofa bed and 1 large double bed.” We were two adults and one child who already sleeps in a normal bed, so I expected proper beds for everyone and the sofa just for seating. That is why we always book an apartment – in this case also the most expensive option – to have this comfort. In reality, it was only a slightly larger room than the others, yet called an “apartment.” There was just one double bed and an extra bed on the sofa. 2. No air conditioning During our stay it was 23–25 °C outside. Because of the large windows facing the sun, the room overheated so much that it was almost impossible to stay or sleep in it. Ventilation did not help, as even hotter air was coming in from the heated façade. Without air conditioning, the room is uninhabitable in warm weather. 3. Noise in the courtyard In the evening, a large group of guests with alcohol gathered in the courtyard. The noise made it impossible to ventilate the room and sleep. It would be good if the hotel set some rules for the use of these spaces so that guests do not disturb each other. 4. Breakfast The breakfast buffet, apart from boiled eggs, was entirely cold. I answer directly to the question of why I didn’t address these issues at the hotel: the room type and lack of air conditioning are not things that can be resolved, and I have no intention of spending my vacation trying to educate the staff by complaining about something they can hear themselves.
