2-bedroom, 2-bathrooms historic home, located in the heart of downtown Ouray. The Dawson House, which was originally built in 1888, maintains its historic charm while embodying all of the modern-day luxuries you are accustom to. The exterior of the home reflects its Victorian roots. Simultaneously, the interior features a modern interior and modern furnishings, an updated kitchen, an updated bath that mixes modern fixtures with an antique claw foot tub, and the original staircase. Combined, these features create a beautiful contradiction of history and modernism.
Bed Configuration:
Master Bedroom - Queen Bed (2nd Level)
2nd Bedroom - Queen Bed (2nd Level).
The second floor has two bedrooms with a queen bed in each. The master bedroom has a private deck nestled among the treetops with Twin Peaks' views and the surrounding mountains. This home has a great covered porch for sitting out and enjoying a quiet morning or alpenglow reflected on spectacular Amphitheater. There is also a small back porch and a patio with a gas grill for your use. There are parking spaces for two cars located in front of the home.
Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Due to this home is a 30-night rental we do require a 60 DAY CANCELATION NOTICE, Payment is due in full 60 days prior to arrival. We do offer travel insurance.
Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.
