Ramsland 8A got a brand new boat GJ690CC on 01.04.2023 with many extras that make every angler's heart beat faster. With the 115 hp Suzuki engine of the latest generation 2023 (drive by wire technology), the GJ is a robust rough water boat and suitable for 4-5 anglers. The hull is self-draining and made from up to 5 mm aluminum materials. With a hull length of 6.30 meters, a width of 2.25 meters and an overall length of 7.05 meters (including the bathing platforms), the boat is a top-equipped and high-quality fishing boat. At the stern, the boat is equipped with steps to the platform to make it easier to get in and out. The high, sturdy railing is a highlight, while the steering position is equipped with a windshield to protect the boater from wind and waves in rough seas.

Holiday home "Ramsland Brygge 8 A" is located with its terrace directly on the jetty with a view of the fjord and towards the open sea on the shore of 'Ramslandsvågen', almost at the southernmost point of Norway with the most hours of sunshine per year. Adjacent is the house 8 B. This extremely cozy & friendly furnished vacation home Ramsland Brygge 8 A was renovated and neatly and chicly furnished in early 2020. In addition to a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and plenty of dishes, large fridge-freezer, satellite TV with German channels and Internet WLAN was also installed in the house as part of the renovation. The beds were renewed in 2020. You can drive right up to the front of the property to load and unload. Swimming from the jetty or at a bathing area next door is also a refreshing summer pleasure in Norway. If you feel like it, you can also fish directly from the jetty or from the shore of the fjord. Directions:
After leaving the ferry/customs, follow the signs to Stavanger/Flekkefjord (E 39).
There are automatic toll booths on the route. Please log on to and register your vehicle there. If you wish to drive through the Autopass lanes without registering, you will later receive an invoice for the fees incurred. At the E39 / Vigeland traffic circle, continue on the E39 and after approx. 1 km turn right at the Vigeland sign into the village. At the bottom of the village, turn right after the petrol station onto the FV 460 road and continue in the direction of Lindesnes Fyr, staying on Spangereidveien, which will take you directly to Ramsland. At the sign for Kultursenter Ramsland, turn onto the grounds of "Lindesnes Feriensenter".
Fishing in the Lindesnes Spangereid area, Mandal, Tarvatnet, Lonestrand, Furuholmen, Snig
Sea anglers can fish on the fjord and the open sea, or go after flatfish from the shore. We recommend a boat trip to the best fishing areas in the region, off the islands and on the plateaus at Lindesnes - Spangereid. Depending on your performance, you will need just under 10-20 minutes to reach the open sea in a safe boat. In the fjord estuaries you can catch all kinds of sea fish (20 fish species, good sizes) depending on the season, weather and tide. Good cod, pollack, coalfish, ling and tusk are waiting for you on the open sea. Why not try fishing for cod and plaice from the jetty with a float while having a barbecue. Please pay attention to the closed seasons and the fishing limits in the estuaries. In summer until the beginning of November, shoals of mackerel invade deep into the fjord. Depending on the season, you can also catch sea fish and flatfish directly from land on the nearby beaches. Your contact person will show you the fishing grounds on site. We also recommend fishing trips on the fjord or towards the open sea to the best fishing areas in the region off Mandal, Furuholmen, the offshore islands and the plateaus. By boat and in good weather, you can reach the famous fishing grounds of southern Norway off Furuholmen and Lindesnes.
If you have a small boat, it is better to fish behind the archipelago and not go out to sea. With a larger boat, it will take you about 15 minutes to reach the open sea from the jetty. You can catch sea fish in the fjords depending on the season, weather and tide.
On the open sea you can catch good coalfish, cod, pollack, mackerel, ling and tusk, as well as the occasional halibut. The river mouth at Furuholmen is known for good sea trout and salmon catches. Sections of the river and their zones may only be fished with a permit. Please pay attention to the closed seasons and fishing limits in the estuary.
In summer, schools of mackerel invade deep into the fjords. They catch sea fish and plenty of flatfish on sandy bottoms, sometimes also salmon and sea trout, depending on the season. The evening hours are particularly recommended.

Fishing in fresh water / in the lakes and streams in the area:
If you like fishing for salmon, trout and char, this is the place to be. The huge Tarvatnet lake with drinking water quality is home to native salmonid species. Please - you need a fishing license for the large Tarvatnet. Please ask in advance!
Please pay attention to the closed seasons and fishing limits in the estuaries. The Audna in particular is home to fantastic salmon in the pools; you will need a day ticket/permit for the various zones during the season.
The Audna salmon river (50 km long) flows through the Audnedalen valley from Ytre Øydnevann to Snigsfjord by the sea. The course of the river is very varied and calm stretches alternate with rapids and waterfalls. The width varies between 10 and 20 m and the fishing depends heavily on the water level. After heavy rainfall, the first few days produce the best results.
In the Audna you can only fish with a state license for salmon and sea trout. These can be obtained online or at the post office. A permit from the landowner is also required. This can be obtained from the tourist office in Mandal or Lindesnes Tele: 0047 38258068. Permits are also available in many stores along the river. The prices are low for really good salmon fishing. Other salmon rivers in the area are the Mandalselva and the Lyngna.
The Audna has seven fishing zones: Interesting Zone 1-3
Zone 1: From the mouth into the sea to Ystholen. The river flows calmly and offers dry fly opportunities for sea trout in the evening hours.
Zone 2: Ystholen to 150 m below Melhusfoss. Some nice sections for fly fishing. Especially recommended at medium or low tide when no fish pass Melhusfoss.
Zone 3: Melhusfoss. By far the best spot.Only a few day permits are issued and two landowners can also fish.
The licenses must be ordered from Audna Fiskerettforening by 01.05. and are not cheap.

In Spangereid, 12 minutes away, you will also find a fishing store, a supermarket and a petrol station with a country store and fishing equipment. In the harbor there you will also find a small shopping area with maritime stores. You can also shop in Vigeland, where there is also an ATM and a first-class bakery. Boating license:
For guests born before 01.01.1980, no license for motorboats of this class is required in Norway. For younger persons, a boating license for boats with more than 25 hp is mandatory.
Binding rules of conduct - liability of the hirer:
We expect you to refrain from drinking alcohol on board, as you as the skipper bear a great deal of responsibility for the crew.
The hirer is liable for any damage caused by themselves and also for any damage caused by other users of the boat. The use of the boat is at the hirer's and all other users' own risk. The hirer shall inform his crew in good time that they may need to take out appropriate insurance against loss events themselves before the start of the trip. In addition, the skipper must familiarize the crew with the boat technology and the terms of the contract and ensure that all passengers wear life jackets on the trips.

Restriction of area:
Voyages are only permitted in the adjacent and suitable waters of the home port and near the coast.
A minimum distance of 100 meters must be maintained from fish farms or similar facilities. Failure to comply with the navigation rules may result in immediate termination of the tenancy by the lessor/owner. Claims of the tenant are therefore deemed forfeited.
Handover - Return:
The use of the boat is generally bound to the rental period of the booked object.
Equipment and inventory will be handed over/taken over in accordance with the checklist.
