Location and elegance come together in this stunning historic home. Come to New Orleans and live in style in the heart of the Marigny Triangle. This is a big, stunningly beautiful historic home IDEALLY situated on Chartres Street near Esplanade Avenue and Frenchmen Street in the historic Marigny Triangle. Live large for less!!!!! This historic home as it all -- People watch from the splendid balcony; Brass bands set up and play down the block --- bars, restaurants, clubs, music.. it's all right here!
It's a palatial 2500 square-foot 2 bath home with a 60-foot center hall (8 feet wide!) large veranda overlooking Frenchmen, Chartres and Kerlerec streets. Your entire living area is on the 2nd floor accessible by a flight of stairs (13 steps).
There's a large kitchen with stainless steel appliances, large dining room, large living room, 60' TV w/ cable, WIFI, washer and dryer, central air and heat, ceiling fans all over the place, sparkling hardwood floors, great view of Frenchmen and Chartres streets from the huge veranda ... and linens (sheets and towels) are provided. Two bathrooms, two clawfoot tubs with showers... One of the bathrooms is as big as most bedrooms! This house is even bigger than it looks in photos and video.
If you look really carefully, you'll see this house in the classic movie 'Easy Rider,' and you can catch it every now and then on 'Treme.' Guests have included a former Louisiana governor, a New Orleans police chief and a distinguished documentary crew from New York filming for a major network.

Summary: I came here with five of my friends to celebrate my birthday and to attend the 30th anniversary Essence festival. Place was clean. Very spacious. We had more than enough room. Perfect location, within walking distance to Bourbon Street. Great sound barrier. You couldn’t really hear any of the noise that was going on outside with the partying. The bed was very comfortable. Felt very safe and secure. The hosts were absolutely amazing, very Friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed my time here.
