Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: As a solo traveller using public transport this place was easy to get to. The location is unbeatable if you don't have a car and want to do the loop hike. It was about a 4min walk to the start of the "Hahn & Henne Weg"/Rooster and Hen Trail which is a breath takingly beautiful 15km loop hike. The shared kitchen was handy but there is also a restaurant 5mins away which serves Thai food and some German options. It's quite pricey but as I was only staying two nights it was fine. I also just bought my own food and snacks with me so I didn't need to do any shopping when I arrived. The shared terrace area was also a nice and relaxing place to sit in the evening. The couple who run it are really friendly and attentive. They gave me lots of good tips for my stay as well as my next!
Negative: I read in some reviews that the towels are quite worn down. This is still the case so if you're staying longer, maybe take your own if this bothers you. Also the bed covers are also not the newest. And if you're sensitive sleeper then the pillow I had wasn't very supportive. But it's all part of the charm and for two nights this wasn't a problem for me at all. Everything was spotlessly clean and that's the most important for me.
