Positive: The Hacienda is beautiful, but there is conflict between the style of the new build and the original hacienda. However, it was nice and the bedroom is comfortable.

Negative: I work in luxury hospitality consulting… so it is normally my job to point out what’s wrong in luxury accommodations such as this one. The staff do try, but they couldn’t not reach the level you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Amazing that they know your name, but pointless if they see you struggling carrying your luggage around and don’t bother offering their help. There is lack of organisation in reception, we were left waiting in the middle of reception, then they made sure their payment was the first thing they took and cared about. I get it, but in 5 star hotels… it does not go down like that. They have some free activities that are nice but it turns into a sales pitch and loses point for guests to listen to their amazing residences that they are building. We are staying for the hotel, not to buy a villa. Dinner was OK, staff do try, but again, additional training is required. Breakfast was as shocking as can be for their prices in a 5 star hotel, cold, unseasoned, bland, some items were OK, again, staff do try, but overall… It disappoints. Room was lovely, expected for their rates, however, in the evening it gets covered with insects, respecting nature at all times, I am sure something can be done for guests to enjoy the room terrace without beetles and cockroaches flying and landing everywhere on us. Overall. Potential is there. The expansion and transition from hacienda to residences is ruining it. Staff need plenty of training and further experience with luxury treatment towards guests. I won’t return nor would I recommend it.
