From the house you have a spectacular view over the Hardangerfjord and towards Folgefonna. Around the house there is a large outdoor area with its own apple orchard and berry bushes. Here you can enjoy good weather on the terrace in a beautiful natural environment. There are good hiking opportunities in the forest and many marked hiking trails. Here you can visit for example Slåttenuten, Krokavatnet or Sjusete. If you prefer cycling, there is a beautiful 17 km marked cycling trail from Norheimsund to Tokafjellet and back. Good fishing in the fjord and several lakes in the area. In Norheimsund you will find stores and restaurants, a nice sandy beach and the attraction Steinsdalsfossen.
Another tip is to visit Øystese. Here you will find Gullfiskvatnet resting and swimming place. In Fyksesundet there is Landscape Park, Aquasenter and Steinstøs fruit and cake kiosk. If you want to take a longer day trip, Folgefonna summer ski center, Baroni Rosendal and Eidfjord with the Norwegian Nature Center, are within easy reach.
