Summary: This is one of several well-located units overlooking the northeast coast, lovely climate with cool humid air wafting through the unit ... slept incredibly well. The owner, Mariette, is very responsive and dedicated to making your stay enjoyable ... left cooked creole chicken for us on arrival! Hummingbirds tend to numerous flowering bushes on the property. Climate was great this January, with daily bried rainforest showers coming through. Preferred this location relative to coastal unit where we also stayed, due to cleaner air. There appeared to be excessive burning of sugar cane, brush, etc along some of the coastal areas ... with higher particulate air counts than I’m used to in USA. Wish Guadeloupe will eventually improve air quality and try to fall within WHO quality standards. This appears to be a Caribbean-wide issue... All-in-all, highly recommend Mariette’s units!
