Summary: We spent 2 nights out in galveston for the kids (5,3,&2) first trip to the beach and this was the perfect getaway. The beach is a very easy walk down the road from the house and there isnt car access so it is very quiet and secluded and safe feeling for the kids to run all around the beach. The house was well kept and had everything you needed and a huge bonus was the outdoor shower that we used to fully rinse off before going inside so there was minimal sand tracking in and we could rinse clothes/swimsuits well. Also a huge bonus for use was all beach toys. The kids had a blast with those. It is a bit further from all the restaurant action than would have been convenient but for our trip that was okay because we spent the majority of the day at the beach and then letting kids nap at the house. There is a restaurant close by, Glavestonite Bistro, that is absolutely worth going to. We went twice. The drinks arent great, but the food was awesome both times we went and it wasnt crowded like all the tourist-y places off the seawall. We would absolutely come and stay again.
