Positive: Location means your about 15mins from anywhere in Scarborough.
Negative: Owner makes you fill in a Google Form demanding proof of ID before giving you the door key code. I refused to send someone I don't know a copy of my Passport when we've already paid and they had my full name & address. Never been asked to this this before in Booking.com or AirBNB. Advised of the ETA the day before and 40mins before arrival. Got there, still not sent me the door key code. Over 20ish minutes I called 4 times, sent 3 text messages and 2 emails. Doesn't help that the phone signal on the street is almost non-existent. Finally sent the code claiming it was "...an automated message..." as I hadn't "...verified my ID...". Apart from that: - Loft double room, the mattress is basically on the floor. - Also to turn on loft double room bathroom light the bedroom main light has to be on. - Both loft rooms have Velux windows with no curtains, so you'll be up at the crack of dawn. - Parking on the road is difficult and you must have a parking pass. They provide these, and the listing says parking is free. But in the Google form they try to charge you £10 for each extra day pass you need. - There's a 1 inch trip hazard going into the living room. - The fire alarm system only covers a few rooms. - We couldn't get the heating to come on. The thermostat just said connecting. Rebooted thermostat and tried in different parts of the house, but made no difference. Only worked out on the second day that there is a switch in the kitchen you have to turn on. This powers the combi - An extension in the living room had severely damaged wiring, dangerous really - Banister in the loft conversion is exceptionally loose and has been repaired badly. It could easy be knocked over by a child running into to. The bottom of the newel post is completely loose. Also a baluster is missing.
