The studio is in the heart of an artist village, which is mostly car-free (parking is within 5 min walk). You have full view on the lake from your studio. You will find on the spot 3 restaurants, 2 art galleries, 1 general store, petanque area, kayak rental, horse riding, walks short and long, and a good start point for visiting the Cathar castles. The surrounding sea-water lakes are part of a regional nature park and your terrace overlooks the lake.
We provide you with a couple of bikes (2 new ones in late 2021) to discover this unique landscape. Also new in late 2021: High speed Wifi (Fiber link) and 43" smart TV.
Within a 30 minutes drive, sandy beaches on the Mediterranean, great hikes, bird watching, wine estates, or the UNESCO World Heritage city of Carcassonne.

Summary: The studio is a wonderful little hideaway in the narrow streets of Bages, but near the centre of this unspoilt and friendly French fishing village. The accommodation is compact and well furnished, and the small wooden balcony offers a view of the pétanque ground with sparkling waters of the Etang de Bages. We have stayed at the Studio twice, and are planning another visit very soon. There are two bikes in the house and lots of trails and tracks for biking or walking nearby if exercise is your thing ... or just spend a relaxing time at the cafe on the village square. The studio is also an excellent base for exploring the historic towns or beaches of Languedoc-Roussillon.
