Our cabin is available for short-term rentals (no longer than two consecutive weeks) between mid-May and mid-October We offer a clean, tidy two-bedroom cabin located on Phillips Lake (Lucerne) in Dedham, Maine. We strive for our guests to enjoy a comfortable experience while offering a few contemporary conveniences such as an air-conditioned master bedroom, a remodeled bathroom with an extra-large shower and free wi-fi. Included are pillows, sheets, cotton blankets + bath towels. The kitchen has basic wares; pots, dishes, plates, bowls, cups, silverware, and cooking utensils, a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, and toaster. There are two bedrooms; one has one king bed with a TV offering Netflix only and A//C, and the other has a bunk bed set with one full bed on the bottom and a twin on top. The washer and dryer are in the bunk bedroom. (Guests provide their own laundry detergent). Our living room has a beautiful working wood-burning fireplace (wood included). There is a TV and a built-in bookcase with a selection of board games and books of interest. You may find you spend most of the indoor time on the screened-in porch. Enjoy your morning and evening beverage in the mosquito-free porch with beautiful lake views. Our private waterfront cove is shallow and settled. The entry is a small area best suited for little ones to splash around. Enjoy the dock with lounge chairs and an umbrella to sunbathe, read, enjoy our mallard duck and loon families as they swim by, catch a gorgeous sunrise, or secure your watercraft. A free public boat launch is beside The Lucerne Beach Club. ********* Our Swimming Area is at The Swim Out Float******* We have a swim-out float for swimming, jumping off, and sunbathing. We have a 4 person pedal boat for the short distance and to explore our unique cove. The float has a ladder to secure the pedal boat as well as offer ease while jumping off and easing in. Bring your towel, sunscreen and enjoy! We are not far from some of the best areas in Maine. Discover the shops, restaurants, and local artisans in Ellsworth just 20 minutes away and the beauty of Bar Harbor with world-class shopping, exquisite dining, Sand Beach, Cadillac Mountain, whale watching cruises, historic sites, and hiking and biking in Acadia National Park approx. 45-50 minutes away. Bangor has some fine downtown shops, pubs, and excellent dining and proudly boasts the Summer Concert Series headlining some of the best bands in the world. Attending a Summer or Fall wedding at the Lucerne Inn? The bride, groom, and guests love the proximity, privacy, space, and amenities for weddings on the lake and for long fall wedding weekends. Guests sign a standard short-term rental agreement upon booking to secure reservation and to receive a door key code. Please keep in mind the following BEFORE inquiring - 1) We do not go off the VRBO booking and payment platform. We have a popular property and this ensures all transactions, especially the returnable deposit to our valued guests are returned ON TIME. 2) We cannot accept pets as indicated in this property's description. Even the small, well-behaved ones. 3) We require the entire 5-hour time frame between check-out and check-in, so we cannot offer late check-outs OR allow early arrivals. It is because we use this time frame for any scheduled maintenance and we clean the cabin top to bottom including all bedding, shower curtain, along with sheets and towels.
