Positive: The host was incredibly accommodating!! Upon arrival, we realized the kitchen was not fully stocked to do some major cooking (pots, pans, spatula, etc). I contacted the owner and manager, and they immediately went and checked the other units to see if they had what I needed. When they didn't the owner immediately ordered a full set of brand new pots and pans and accessories and had the manager drop them off the next morning since we were staying 3 nights. It was so kind of them! My chef husband was very appreciative. I was able to text the manager who is a local for suggestions on restaurants and grocery stores, too. For the unit itself, we LOVED the back deck and the view of the water and mountains. We were there in November, and it was raining, so it was beautiful and perfection. Also, the bed was comfy. The unit is newly remodeled, so everything is fresh, clean, and cute.
Negative: There was no mirror in the bathroom. That was strange. Luckily, I am extremely low maintenance and didn't really need the mirror, but if you need one you're screwed. I know the unit was newly remodeled, so maybe they hadn't added the mirror yet. I don't know. Also, a full size trash in the kitchen would have been nice instead of a tiny personal trash can. My main complaint was the couch in the living room is a wood day bed , so it's uncomfortable for sitting and watching TV/chilling for extended period if you plan to sit up. I was very disappointed in that cuz it was a bit of a stay-cation, so we planned to chill there. Also, the wifi is dreadfully slow. So, it's hard to stream shows on the smart TV or use your laptop. We ended up bringing and hooking up our Nintendo Switch and played games instead. As for the porch, there was no sun covering or patio set. Luckily, we went to Walmart and bought camping chairs to use. A covering would have been amazing during the rain. A patio set would have been a nice treat for those that like to spend time outside enjoying the view. Lastly, this wasn't an issue, but is a suggestion for the owner... there is a opening in the fence at the far left end of the yard where there is a broken up concrete walkway, huge tree, and lots of tully. If you don't mind possibly getting dirty you can get to the water, but I don't recommend it. If that area was cleaned up and fixed a bit, it could be an amazing addition to the property. People will pay for their own private water access or cute little lounge spot to enjoy the water. It could be a beautiful spot to enjoy coffee early in the AM.
