Back at the house, you'll be welcomed home from your daily excursions by leather sofas perched in front of an impressive gas fireplace, an open kitchen and dining room for slow-paced homemade meals, and a jetted bathtub - in addition to the private hot tub outdoors - to ease you into a restful night's sleep. Take your pick of five bedrooms when it's time to turn in - two with a king-size bed apiece, one with a queen-size bed, and two with a pair of twin beds each.

When the summer sun is shining, you can take strolls through the Yampa River Botanic Park (two miles northwest) or ride your bike along the famous Yampa River Core Trail, a 7.5-mile, paved path that runs through the heart of Steamboat Springs. Downtown, which is home to the Old Town Hot Springs and fantastic restaurants, is three miles north. You'll also be five miles south of Fish Creek Falls, 10 miles south of Strawberry Park Hot Springs, and 30 miles south of Steamboat Lake State Park.
