Positive: Really well equiped and up to date apartment. The facilites are excellent, and must have been brand new. Kitchen was great, modern and with everything you need. The bathroom was really smart and modern. The apartment was exceptionally clean! The apartment is a great base for exploring the area around Paleochora. The hosts were lovely and very attentive to needs. You'll need a car to explore the area, and to get to Paleochora but it is only 5 minutes drive away. Other places worth visiting are the Anidri beaches, Krios beach, and Sougia by ferry/boat (from which you can hike back to Paleochora / Anidri via the E4 path in about 5 hours - absolutely stunning hike over the mountants, through the Lissos archeological site, and along very dramatic coastal paths). There is a beach very close to the apartment that you can walk to (2-3 mins) through the next-door olive grove, which is simple but lovely, and a great place for that morning swim!
Negative: It was expected, but the apartment is next to the road, so there is a little traffic noise. The quality of the apartment more than outweighs this though.
