The lonely call of the loon. The wind blowing through the white pines. A sunny, clear day on a crystal clear lake. Walk into the sand bottom lake. Jump off the dock. Float on an air mattress in the quiet lake. Read a book on the secluded, shaded deck overlooking the lake. Enjoy the sunset – every night. Your lake view faces west. Lake Hodstradt is small enough to often be quiet. But it is big enough to enjoy boating, tubing, water skiing or other water sports if you prefer. If you like bass fishing, Lake Hodstradt is tough to beat. A fishing boat is supplied with the rental. All of this, and you are only two miles from the village of Lake Tomahawk – or 9 miles, no more than 15 minutes – from all of the conveniences of Minocqua. Originally built as a “log cabin” in 1970, the house was completely renovated, expanded and modernized in 2005. Yet the original full log walls are still the main walls in the cathedral-ceilinged living area. The large, adjacent kitchen includes all of the modern conveniences, including a dishwasher and a large refrigerator. Other modern conveniences include central air (if you really need it), and a laundry, full bath and bedroom on the main floor. A cedar deck is attached to the lake (west) side and the south side of the building. The attached garage is also convenient. The second floor features two bedrooms and another full bath, allowing for comfortable sleeping for 8 to 9. A 40” HDTV is in the main living area with satellite TV, and a stereo and Blu-Ray DVD player is also available. Wi-Fi (Wireless Internet) is available on-site. A sturdy, all weather basketball hoop is anchored along the asphalt driveway for the kids (or the adults). This is truly a wonderful and unique location. You will not be disappointed - in fact, you will want to visit again and again.
