You usually pick up your houseboat at the Neustrelitz marina. Either the harbour master or an owner will be waiting for you there. A hot water shower is located outside at the stern. A sufficient number of life jackets and fenders are on board and, like the boat, are carefully checked before setting off.
The houseboat can be used in a variety of ways, e.g. as a holiday home, as a mobile means of transport for guests and bikes around the Peene (120 km) with its many mooring and anchoring options for exploring the surrounding area.
