Stay in a cozy log cabin located on Shaffer Mountain, a perfect retreat from a busy life. In Bedford County this is located on a flyway for migrating birds. The Allegheny Plateau Audubon Society (APAS) has a Hawkwatch site nearby that is open to visitors during migration
The cabin has an open plan downstairs with a great room, kitchen and view of Bedford County plus a quiet bedroom with a full bed; a small loft has twin beds.
The kitchen includes a stove, microwave plus dishes and cookware.

Summary: The cabin and property are simply beautiful. We had perfect weather and our only regret is that we had to go. Everything was cleaned and well maintained. We will definitely be coming back in the future!
