This light and bright Central Austin cottage was built in the 1940s and meticulously restored in 2023, combining timeless style and modern amenities with the vintage charm of the original house. It's located in North Loop, a neighborhood that still holds the charm of "Old Austin", steps away from local favorite eateries (Home Slice, Foreign&Domestic), bars (Drinkwell), and great vintage shops. Get to Downtown, University of Texas, the Domain, or Mueller in minutes by bike, bus or a short drive.
The space
This rental is for the whole house, including the front porch, a secluded semi-fenced backyard. There is a carport in addition to ample space to park in the driveway for up to 3 vehicles (tandem). Street parking is also available.
The home features a light-filled living room with TV, small yet cozy dining area with seating for 4, and a chef's kitchen with high-end appliances. There are two bedrooms, a quiet bedroom with a full-sized bed and the primary bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a writer's desk available for your laptop, if required. Each bedroom has a closet, side tables, and ample light for enjoyable quiet time in the city. The bathroom is centrally located in the house, with a shower and deep soaking tub. Plently of cotton towels are provided along with soap and shampoo.
The home has a small, half-fenced, secluded back yard equipped with BBQ grill (charcoal), sunbrella, outdoor dining area and a playarea for toddlers and younger children. A travel crib is also available for your use.
