A wooded walk down the country road brings you to the foot of our hill and access to the upper Platte River. There is superb trout fishing & swimming in warm weather. Sunny Ridge Cabin is located on 53 acres of private land bordered on the south and west by thousands of acres of State Forests. Our north border is a county maintained country road/trail that leads directly to state snowmobile/hiking trails and the Michigan Shore to Shore hiking and horseback riding trail.
Mushroom hunt, hike, cross country ski, snowshoe, snowmobile, mountain bike or horse ride right from your doorstep. It is just one mile to the canoe & kayak access on the upper Platte River (Veterans Park). We’re just 15 minutes from Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore or Interlochen Art Academy. The Benzie area is host to many inland lakes and rivers, as well as gorgeous Lake Michigan beaches. Just minutes to world renown Crystal Downs Golf Course. Traverse City is a short 20 minutes to the NE and offers fabulous dining and shopping opportunities, plus the largest regional airport. Airway Estates airstrip is just 2 miles north.
