Positive: The house was located in a beautiful area, close to the beach and lake. Would recommend staying there, especially if you have a boat or like to golf.
Negative: The downstairs rooms were comfortable, but no matter what we did (fans, opening windows, etc.) it was HOT, especially the upstairs bedrooms. There was no A/C. The fan in master bedroom didn't work. The cleaning fee was high and yet we were asked to strip the beds, launder the towels and take out the trash. It was a beautiful location and beautiful home with minor deficiencies. Nearby Town of Chester was very disappointing. First night we couldn't find a place for dinner...we went north along the lake and everyplace was closed. We then went into town and only found one place open (Copper Kettle) and the food and service was horrible. The people working there we unfriendly and rude. Lassen Park was also disappointing as major trails were closed. Do your research before you go.
