Summary: Serge's house is a wonderful place to spend a week in the Dordogne area. The house offers you a very comfortable place to stay, and has everything you need. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and the view from the balcony is absolutely stunning. This is such a beautiful and peaceful area to stay - you will need a car to get the most out of staying here though. Serge and his co-host Cathy were both very friendly, helpful and welcoming. There was plenty of information, maps, walk routes etc for the local area - we enjoyed La Grotte de Lacave (walking distance from the house), Rocamadour, kayaking on the Dordogne (via Copeyre Canoe), the Gouffre de Padirac, Chateau to Beynac and the Jardins de Marquissac, the steam train at Martel, as well as a local round walk from the house, and another to the top of Roc Des Monges. Mosquito protection is needed for hot summer nights. Thank you Serge for a truly super week in your lovely home!
