Positive: The location was in close proximity to supermarket, gas stations, beaches and main roads. Beds were comfortable, spacious bedrooms and upstairs bathroom. The chef’s kitchen was clean, spacious and very clean. The kitchen ware was also very clean and usable.
Negative: These are the problems that we experienced from the first day of our stay on Wednesday June 26, 2024 4:09pm till checkout on July 1st, 2024 9:00am. There was water gushing down to the lower level (finished basement). A call and email was sent to “Tommy” at Delmar Vacation Rentals and “Robert” responded within the hour to investigate the problem. While there, “Robert” witnessed the water leak and further determined that the leak was coming from the upstairs shower. We also pointed out to “Robert” that the water was also pouring from the door frame leading from the kitchen to the laundry room , which he also witnessed. “Robert” advised us not to continue using the upstairs shower. That meant that Nine (9) people had one shower available to use for the remainder of our stay. Robert also informed us that in order to find the leak and repair it, that walls would have to be ripped out to trace the location of the pipes and repair the pipes. Since we had already paid in full the rental fee, had a delivery being shipped and brought to the house by FedEx, we advised “Robert” that we were not going to endure a major repair project. Secondly, thermostat was 78 to 80 degrees which made for very uncomfortable, unhealthy and unbearable nights trying to sleep or stay indoors for any length of time. We notified Delmar Vacation Rentals on Sunday 6/30/24 and they sent a very pleasant gentleman technician (did not get his name) to investigate. We were then informed by the technician that the problem was due to the tall ceilings and the thermostat trying to cool the difference zones in the house. We were instructed to open the windows (which to us seem to defeat the purpose of having air conditioning) and monitor the thermostat and call Del Mar Vacation Rentals again if the thermostat didn’t reset. Since we were checking out the next day (Monday 7/1/24) we decided to suffer through another night of being in a hot house.
Summary: Disappointed and dissatisfied with our experience and stay at your rental property.
