The space
The cottage is at the heart of it all. It is very close to many of the local Colorado Springs attractions. Colorado Springs STR Permit #1364.
The cottage is a very comfortable space built in 1923, and preserves much of its original charm. With charm sometimes comes modern oddities such as a very cozy bathroom, original flooring, wall heating, and natural window fed cooling (i.e. no central air, which is typical for Colorado homes) we do have a window air conditioning unit though ;). The cottage is a step back in time with modern amenities like a Keurig and Netflix :)
Living Room & Dining Area --
To help you relax after a long day of exploring, the cozy living room boasts a television with Roku, Netflix and local channels as well as games, books and toys for the little ones. The living room also includes an expandable dining set for your family meals.
Kitchen --
You will find a fully loaded kitchen with everything you will need to cook meals during your stay. We will have tea, coffee, cream, hot cocoa & sugar available. The kitchen is also loaded up with pots, pans, bowls, a strainer, utensils, fridge, gas range and oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, hand mixer, blender and a kettle. Additional cooking supplies, such as spices, are on the shelf next to the stove and in the upper cabinet next to the fridge. Cleaning supplies and extra trash bags are under the sink. There is a broom, dustpan and mop in the West bedroom closet.
Bedrooms --
Queen sized beds in both bedrooms, and a full sized memory foam pull out couch in the living room. We provide high quality bedding, pillows in varying stiffness for optimum comfort, and fresh bamboo linens. Each bedroom has a closet with hangers and dressers to store your belongings during your stay.
Bathroom --
The small bathroom includes a bathtub/shower combo, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap. We also provide cotton balls, cotton swabs, makeup remover towelettes, and extra rolls of toilet paper. We leave at least one bath towel and two wash cloths per guest, plus a couple of extras. There is also a hair dryer, plunger and toilet brush under the sink.
Outdoor --
There is an inviting front porch with adirondack chairs and back patio conversation area with string lights. You'll also have access to a propane grill next to the stone wall.
Parking --
There is plenty of parking right in front of the cottage, along the white picket fence. If you would like to bring a trailer, please notify me in advance. There is plenty of space, but a trailer can be a bit tricky to maneuver on the property. There is not street parking.
Remote Working --
High speed WIFI is available and the table in the dining room is perfect for using as a large workspace.
Children
We have a few children's items in the cottage for your convenience including a pack n play in the West bedroom closet, games and a basket of toys in the living room.
Pets
Pets must qualify to stay, please message ahead of booking to see if your pet can join you in the cottage. Pet fee applies for additional cleaning.
NO Smoking/Vaping Inside --
Smoking, in accordance with Colorado law, is permitted outside on the patio. Please properly dispose of cigarette butts. Smoking anything (tobacco, marijuana, vaping) inside the home is NOT PERMITTED - loss of security deposit will occur.
Additional Things to Note --
There is another residence on the front part of the property, but the cottage is its own unit far back from the main house.

Guest Access --
The cottage is its own unit behind the main house. You'll be able to access the cottage anytime via the keypad. Feel free to use the property! If you need laundry, just let us know and we'll give you access to the main house for that.

There is plenty of parking right in front of the cottage, along the white picket fence. If you would like to bring a trailer, please notify me in advance. There is plenty of space, but a trailer can be a bit tricky to maneuver on the property. There is not street parking.

This is a smoke free, drug free, party free cottage. If the rules aren't followed, you may be subject to a fine and, if violated, asked to leave without refund. :(
