Charming, peaceful Maranacook waterfront camp nestled in the pines | House in Readfield

2 Bedroom House in Readfield
THE CAMP
This cozy, recently renovated camp sits right on Maranacook Lake—just 2 ¾ hours from Boston, 1 hour to Portland and the Maine coast. Nestled among majestic pine trees, it features deep-water frontage with a private dock, gorgeous sunsets, leaf peeping in the fall, and the call of the loons throughout the spring, summer and fall. There’s plenty to do in the area—or just relax in this peaceful haven on the lake.
This is a traditional Maine camp, built in 1920, which retains that antique charm but has modern comforts and amenities.
On the 1st floor, there’s a well-equipped kitchen with original pantry and farmhouse sink; a full bathroom with new shower; and a living room with direct access to the large screened-in porch and deck overlooking the lake. The view from the porch is mesmerizing; from your perch among the trees (you'll feel like you're in a treehouse!), you can listen to the loons while you drink your morning coffee, read a book, dine at the country-style table or play board games, and take in the beautiful sunsets in the evening. For chilly mornings, there is a heater in the living room that warms the first floor up in minutes.
The 2nd floor has 2 sunny bedrooms: a master bedroom with queen-sized bed, and a guest bedroom with 2 twins and bunk beds. Ceiling and window fans help to cool off the rooms at night in the summer months.
