THE ORIGINAL COTTAGE DATES BACK TO THE 17TH CENTURY WITH MODERN INTERNAL FIXTURES AND FITTINGS BUT KEEPS THE CHARACTER FEATURES .THE RECENT EXTENSION HAS BEEN SYMPATHETICALLY CONSTRUCTED TO PROVIDE SUPERB CHARACTERFUL EXTRA LIVING ACCOMMODATION.
OUR COTTAGE IS LOCATED ON THE EDGE OF THE VIBRANT LAKELAND VILLAGE OF STAVELEY ONLY 3 MILES FROM WINDERMERE. SECLUDED AT THE TOP OF A PRIVATE LANE AND NESTLED ON THE HILL SIDE WITH VIEWS OF SURROUNDING COUNTYSIDE BUT ONLY 5 MINUTES WALK TO VILLAGE AMENITIES. THESE INCLUDE 2 PUBS SERVING GREAT FOOD, A GROCERY STORE , POST OFFICE, A LARGE BIKE SHOP(WHEELBASE) WITH BIKE HIRE, SEVERAL CAFES , AN ARTISAN BAKERY , THE "HAWKESHEAD" BREWERY AND OTHER INTERESTING SHOPS.
THERE ARE ENDLESS WALKS FROM THE DOOR INTO SURROUNDING HILLS AND UP INTO THE PICTUESQUE KENTMERE VALLEY.
ALSO A SUPERB AREA FOR CYCLING.

UPSTAIRS THE ORIGINAL PART OF COTTAGE HAS STRIPPED PINE FLOOR BOARDS AND RUGS WITH A KING SIZE BED ,DRESSING TABLE AND WARDROBE IN ONE BEDROOM AND 2 SINGLE BEDS WITH BUILT IN WARDROBE IN THE SECOND SMALL BEDROOM. BOTH OF THESE BED ROOMS HAVE A FEATURE VAULTED CEILING WITH OAK BEAMS.
