The chamonix wine estate and accommodations located about 3.1 mi from the town of Franschhoek, a vehicle is a must, as our accommodations is spread out across the estate. Chamonix offers its guest several accommodations options, all tastefully decorated, fully equipped and with views. Certain rooms have a seating area where you can relax. Some rooms feature views of the mountain or lake. Rooms have a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find free toiletries and a hairdryer. A flat-screen TV with satellite channels is featured. Stellenbosch is within 35 minutes' drive and Cape Town International airport is 45 mi away. The accommodations is spread out across the Estate, so a vehicle is a necessity. Chamonix No longer do Game Drives. Only the Two Executive Suites in the Marco Polo Lodge, have a seperate door, to the Patio, although not a private patio for the Executive Suites only, as the Standard Rooms also have access to the Patio. Due to Chamonix being in the process of planting new Vineyards, heavy machinery is working on the Estate. Chamonix have No longer Game or the Game Reserve on the Estate.

Positive: The view from the hill top is amazing. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The breakfast is great and offers sufficient variety.

Negative: The hotel is situated a bit outside of the village center. Not a problem if you have your own car!
