Positive: Pablo, the host, went above and beyond to accommodate us. He even made special arrangements so we could bring our car into the plaza on a Sunday so that my 81 yo old mother and her 80 year old friend didn't have to carry their bags to the parking area. The parking area isn't far, he just wanted everything to be extra easy for us. The apartment is cool, quiet and comfortable, is VERY CLEAN, and is in a great location! It is a few steps off of the main plaza, but we never heard any sounds coming from there. All of the ACs work perfectly and the kitchen is very well appointed with everything you could need to make meals and a great cup of tea or coffee. Pablo is very generous. Not only did he provide us with wonderful snacks, fruit, treats, wine, coffee and tea but he went above and beyond to answer my endless questions about the history of the building. As a Jew it was very important for me to know, understand and appreciate the history of the building. Pablo and his family have done amazing work to both honor the history and the Jewish people who once occupied Trujillo, and also to protect the remaining artifacts and prevent further appropriation or destruction. Because of Pablo and his family the memory of the Jewish people and their contributions to the area will continue to live and remain available to honor and learn from for generations to come.
Negative: Nothing. I would stay here again and again. The only thing to note is that there is a steep stairwell to the apartment. If you have major mobility issues then this could be prohibitive. My 81 year old mother and her 80 year old friend went up and down them several times a day. They took it slow, but never had any problems. Contact the host if this is a concern.
