Mortimers Cross 1.1 miles. A charming, detached, Grade II listed Black and White cottage, situated in the village of Lucton, close to Yarpole and Mortimers Cross, in Herefordshire. Thoughtfully furnished throughout, this traditional cottage provides warm and welcoming accommodation, perfect for a romantic break away in the most relaxing of locations. Make your way through the pretty courtyard garden and enter the cottage directly into the well-equipped kitchen and dining area, complete with exposed stone walls and original beams, whilst next door the cosy sitting room provides the perfect place in which to unwind in front of the warming woodburning stove. Mortimers Cross is a small village best known for the historic battle fought in 1461 during the Wars of the Roses.
